Sketch #134

This week was Sketchy Thursday at Scraptastic Club Blog and somehow I missed sharing it here, but there is still time to play along for a chance to win! Click Here to see the fantastic layouts by some of the other Design Team members.

For my example I used the October Thriller kit, add on kit, and the cut file from the October This Life Noted kit.

Sketch #133

Today I am sharing a couple of my example layouts for my blog feature on Scraptastic Club Blog HERE. Visit the blog for details.

For my layouts I am using the October "Thriller" kit, add on kit, and stamp set.
First I will share the sketch that inspired the two layouts below. Sketch #133

For my first example I have replaced the hexagon design area with a combination of my title letters to spell out "Halloween Ornaments" and some of the leftover alphas. This is a fun way to use up extra alphas that you have left in sets where you have used the most common letters. I especially love these glitter letters for a sparkly page element.

For my next example I rotated the sketch to the left, used 3 photos rather than the one, and for the long strip of paper I cut out the title "Halloween" about the same length and tucked it behind my photos. Also in the sketch there is a stitched line element that I have replaced with my journaling.

Sketch #122

And here is my example using some older BasicGrey Basics and Lauderdale. Are you guys using up your stash?

Sketch #121

For my example I moved the photo a little but followed the sketch pretty closely. Since it's National Scrapbook weekend, I am trying to dig deep and use up my stash. These papers are mostly MME, but the background paper and burlap are from DCWV.

Sketch #120

Use that Panoramic feature on your camera, or crop a photo to create a long photo. You can even put two 4 x 5.5" photos together if you like.

Nancy Burke created an example for us today and she turned the sketch on its side for a dramatic page. I cant even believe that she hand cut the Matterhorn and made all these flags, but it's fantastic!

Sketch # 119

Happy National Scrapbook Day - Weekend! I am a bit behind here but I have 4 sketches with examples for you guys! A couple of guest designers have created examples for us and I think you guy's will be very inspired! I know I am.  I created two large photo sketches because we really haven't done that much at Sketch Savvy but I know you guys have some photos that you want to really show off.

First, Laurie Zeller created this example for you using Basic Grey Lauderdale and a stunning photo of World of Color at Disney's California Adventure. Isn't it cool?! Visit Laurie's Blog HERE

Now for a different take on the same sketch, Nancy Burke created this gorgeous layout. The one thing I really love about the sketch is the fact that you can have a giant photo and still showcase close up shots or people, like Nancy did here. And isn't the gold a perfect accent. Visit Nancy's Blog HERE.

Sketch #115

For my example I used various papers from Crate Paper and I added an extra photo. For close ups, visit my blog here.

Check out this fun version from Scrappin Hard's Blog. She added a sun as part of her design by the title cut out,  it just made the cutest design for a zoo layout. Visit her blog here for close ups.

Sketch #114

here is my example using this sketch. I used all DCWV Vintage Collector stack and coordinating embellishments with some alphas from my stash. For details and close up photos, visit my blog here.

And I loved it so much that I did a second one! I used the Mr Big Stuff kit and add on kit  from Scraptastic and I only used one photo and used a bunch of the cute goodies from the kit rather than the hearts. I used the Feel Again Stamp set to heat emboss on vellum for the little label shapes. For close ups and details, visit my blog here.
Now look at Tami's take on this sketch! Gorgeous papers and gold accents. I just love this page. Check out Tami's blog for details HERE.
